are sitcoms a good way to start off your acting career?

I’m 14 years old and I really want to become an actress but i need to know if you start out on sitcoms can your career escalate from there? or what if I started out on a soap opera?

I think that you could start from anywhere. It’s your talent that counts…not where you start from.
Get into a drama school, and audition for anything, be it an advert, sitcom or soap opera (: (:
