Usa Jobs
How do airline pilot jobs in Europe compare with ones in USA?
On a lot of the answers i see here, people say that pilots start out with 15k a year with a regional airline in USA. Is this the same for European pilots? Also, is it easier to get the job in Europe? And in Europe, do you need a minimum of 1500 hrs to work as an airline pilot?
Whatever the weather in the airline industry, Europe and Asia are the best paid air crewmen.
This is probably what you can expect in the UK
Join small airline – First Officer- £18k/year
(3 years)
Small airline – Captain – £35k/year
(5 years)
Join larger airline – FO – £25k/year
(10 years)
Large airline – Captain – £60k+/year
Then there is a small chance you can become an airline test pilot, who get paid in excess of £200k+ a year, but have very dangerous job.
