hello there i have been on a career break for a while and would like to get back into teaching, help?

I have a B.Ed Degree and have experience in the uk and overseas, age range nursery to twelve. What do i need to get back into teaching? Do i need to get another degree? Or attend a refresher course and if so how would i go about this?

First it’s going to depend on how long you’ve been out of teaching. If you’ve been out of teaching for ten years, you will definitely need to update your credentials and take some courses. If it’s only a year or two and your coursework qualifies you to teach, I would just go ahead and apply for teaching positions. You will, of course, need to indicate what you did during your teaching hiatus. Hopefully it was something valuable or you can explain it as such.
