I would like to apply at UCLA.?

I'm from Minnesota, and I am a junior in high school. I currently get from A and B's in school but most B. I'm involved in sports and band. I also have a part-time job. I do much volunteer work. I want to apply at the University of California, Los Angeles. Do you think I have the opportunity to enter school? If they are some other schools could apply in California with a campus in Nice. I want a career in the medical field. I do not want to go to a community college. Thanks, and links to be big.

First, delete the entire concept of "likely to come in" of his brain. Are you doing better? Sure it seems. Has made some mistakes? I hope so – you are a human, that's their job. No one will respond to your charge has any way of knowing their chances of entering because they are the decision makers. If that requires a cutoff GPA, SAT determined, etc – believe me, the officers Admission to make that very clear and tell anyone that did not fit into that mold that does not disturb. It would save literally thousands of hours. But that's not how it works. Just as there a lot of kids with perfect grades and scores that did not enter, there are many who did not do as well as could be expected, yet anyway. Apply. The worst they can do is say no – but must come from them, not you, do not give up their goals easily. Of course, if you try it can not succeed – but if you do not try, you definitely will not succeed – I like "slight chance of success" rather than "no chance of success" any day, right? If I had been "realistic" I would never have bothered to apply to UCLA, because I think not enter .. and yet, I did. I, I graduated, and was a great experience start to finish. I'm so glad I applied. The process of admission to college is something of a shark tank – not in the offices Admission to themselves, but privately, between the applicants. It is absolute madness – all that stress and anxiety comes to nothing. Who cares what this or person who did it, scored, etc.? They, you are you. His experience in high school is about their circumstances, their effort, their interests. Applications reflect that … Just be sure to put your energy into what matters to you (instead of doing ten million things because you think it should), and when it is time of the application, you will have much to offer. You've done very well, so a pat on the back and take a moment to be proud of all their hard work. Everything you can do yourself is your best effort – and that does not mean you have to get perfect grades and perfect scores. His record is more or less in line with mine, maybe even better. If you want to consider other options, you can also look at Pepperdine (beautiful campus in Malibu), Occidental, Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, Mills, U San Diego, or any of the other UC schools. You can and will go into a great school. Good luck!
