What is the best suburb near Portland OR?

I am considering re-locating to the Portland Oregon in the next year and am starting my research about the area. What is the best place to live and why? And are the jobs in portland good?

Not sure what constitutes “best”, but Lake Oswego has the most expensive property values in Oregon. A lot of people seem to like “The Pearl” in Northwest Portland. Until a few years ago it was warehouses, a railyard, and a brewery. Now it’s lofts, trendy restaurants and new high-rises (well maybe mid-rises).

Jobs? Depends what you do. Like anywhere if you’re in healthcare, you can write your own ticket. If you are a truck assembly line worker, you’re going to be out of luck.
