Medical Careers With Children
What medical careers would involve working with children?
If i were to be a pediatric nurse, does that mean i have to get a nursing degree and be a general nurse (nursing elderly) before i can move to pediatrics? I would love to be a pediatric nurse, but really dont think i could care for the elderly. So any helpful hints or other ideas of what i could do?
Yes you would need to get a nursing degree to work in pediatrics.You would not necessarily have to work with seniors at first but you would encounter seniors at some point during your training and once out of school you may not be able to find a job in pediatrics right away. if you are planning on going to nursing school you will have to learn to deal with all ages of patients.
