Where in London can i apply for jobs as a british citizen and also get governmental aid?

What is the address in London for the governmental office involved in helping british citizens financially and in finding jobs?

If you are already a British citizen, then you have the right to apply for any job within the UK. You would simply look for a job in the normal way; through the internet, in newspapers, at employment agencies, or through the Department of Work and Pensions’ job centres. who also deal with claims for unemployment benefit.

If you are not a British citizen, then it is strictly illegal to work permanently in the UK. Of course, this is not to say that this does not go on, but inevitably such people are badly exploited by their employers and work long hours for less than the legal minimum wage, and employers give them no benefits because legally they “do not exist”. Companies that employ such people to avoid taxation are very heavily punished when they are discovered, and the workers face deportation.

However, it is legal to work temporarily under some circumstances if you have a some types of short term visa. The government department known as The Home Office can explain to you what this involves.

If you wish to become a British citizen, then you must first apply directly to The Home Office: http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/passports-and-immigration/
