under “work experience” should I list a job I only worked for a week?

On an application, it says they check background. Job was at least one year ago. I really had no responsibilities and felt the fast-food place I worked at was unsanitary and under bad management – which is why I didn’t show up after a couple of days, how would I explain this on an application?

No you do not have to mention the job,however if in the background check they run your social security statement for earnings they will find out that you worked there. They rarely run social security statement checks.
