How does one break into the media buisness?

I’m trying to get my foot in the door in either television or print media prefer something along the lines of news. However, I have no idea how to get my foot in the door to get a job. I’ve sent out my resume, made all my networking contacts I can make and was even offered something in october. but I am really looking for something now. Any ideas? Suggestions?

you havent mentioned which country are u frm?? anyways i’ve worked in a news channel for more than a year.. u will not get a job in a news channel without a degree or a diploma in journalism.. bad news for u i know so go and do a course in tht.. its very difficult to get a job in this field nowadays as lot of competition is there.. but do the course frm a good institute tht would open the door of the channels for u and they would consider you.. and then its upto u how u fair in their interviews and tests.. best of luck..
