Is it possible to work with troubled children when I myself have a felony?

In 2001 he was sent to prison for 3 years. As mother and the eldest of 8 children I think almost my duty to help keep other children from the streets and out of trouble. Im in school now working on a degree in corrections and juvenile justice, but I will not waste my time if the degree will be a Usless for the crime. Does anyone know if this area is off limits to criminals?

Probably depends on the state where he lives. You can call your local district attorney and request ~ have a good knowledge of all state laws and statutes. Some crimes can be erased or at least dropped to misdemeanors ~ again, you can find the information state attorney. It's honorable what they are doing, with their errors as a reason for change and make a difference for others. You should be very proud. If it appears that the particular field is "off limits" leaves plenty of others you could follow. Good luck.
