Are jaguars bad cars? 2002 x-type for $5000?

I’m thinking about buying a 2002 Jaguar X-Type. I’m 19 it will be my second car. I’ve heard that Jaguars aren’t the best cars. I won’t be driving it that much because I have a car my parents bought me for school( but I might sell that if this car is reliable). It will probably be for like weekends and my job. I’m paying for this car myself.

YES. you will be wasting money on this car. they are very unreliable, very expensive to maintain and do not hold their value. Jaguars have a terrible reputation for a reason. The 2002 is also one of the years that Ford still owned the company and they really made things worse for Jaguar.
