How much do retail jobs in NYC generally pay?

I’m considering moving to new york city next year, and i’m just trying to set up a budget. generally, how much do retail jobs (clothing stores, etc) pay by the hour? if you have an estimate for waitress jobs as well, that’d also be helpful.

anywhere from $7- 12 $ per hour in local retail. For more upscale retail it can start from 20$ – 30$ per hr. depending on what type of job ofcourse. But Hard to pay bill and rent with that kind of money if planning to live in NYC better start making friends in the area to share room with.
