Do you have the time?
Many times we have the best intentions to start and complete a job, when really, really do not have time. Before you start to make sure you can finish, no shame in hiring someone to do a job that does not have time to complete. The reason why stress is because it is difficult try to pick-up, where someone has left. The other option is to do a project that has no time limit, if you're willing to work on a project for a long period of time, then you can complete your project with no stress.

There is a great feeling of achievement attached to do a job for yourself and there are jobs requiring an expert. Like everything, if you know your ability and act on that knowledge is great.

Sometimes doing You can be the best option and can be fun. When it comes to home improvement in general you can buy books or get them in the library, which are related with any work you have planned. Another benefit of using a contractor is that most insurance companies require certain jobs to be done by someone that is licensed, so if it's a job that will require approval from your insurance company would not hurt to have a list of contractors of tenders before you present to them. A good example of some jobs that require a contractor would build a house, installation of wood stoves, electricity important etc
