How do parents with jobs take care of their kids when school is out for snow days?

I’m a stayathome mom and my son has had so many snow days, and other days school starts late or gets out early. How on earth do working parents who have to be at their jobs deal with this? Today is another snow day. What do you suppose working parents do with their kids on days like this?
When the school calls at 6am the day of the closure, that’s pretty short notice to find a babysitter…

You need to have a babysitter that will be willing to take him/her whenever there is a snow day. That way it won’t matter how little notice they give you, you will be able to call this person and they will be there. Maybe one of those home daycare centers. That’s how I’ve dealt with it.
