Jobs At Google New York
I would like to move from the UK to live & work in USA……..?
……..but I’m not sure about how to do it?? can anyone help?
I’m male, single, 29, I have a good job well paid working for the government, but a part of me has always wanted to live & work abroad, Ive been to the states twice (florida in 2007 and New York 2006) loved both places, and thought I would love to live and work in USA, somewhere.
So does anyone know how to go about this?
I know in Australia, you are only allowed in if you have ‘something to offer the country’? Well I have no debt at all, a degree in Business etc,
Do I have to aply for a green card or working visa or something? To be honest I havent got a clue, I’ve seen plenty of jobs come up, I just type in ‘jobs in new york’ or jobs in USA’ into google, thats the easy bit, any help on the other bits?

Do NOT give up a government job before retirement. Are you crazy? There are no more secure jobs anywhere in the world.
As for working here, you have to find a US company willing to sponsor your visa.
So, you would have to find the job, apply for the job, get the job and get the US company to apply for your visa.
This may be real tough, most of our visas are given out to new IT graduates from third world countries–they are willing to work for less money than we Americans.
As, we are (for now anyway) a free country, you can always try.
A better route may be to find an English company with locations in the states already.
