What jobs/careers work with animals (like at an animal park), and pay at least 30k? Would having a BS help?

How do I beat out competition and make a good living? (preferably more than 30k) If I can’t get a job, where else would a BS in ecology, marine biology, biology, or zoology be marketable?

Yes, having a BS would help..as a matter of fact you cannot get a job like this without a degree. Even having one does not guarantee you work..experience is the thing that is going to get you a job..not the degree alone. You need to do some volunteer work, internships, and/or seasonal work in addition to earning a degree. Once you have both experience and a degree you can apply for jobs with government agencies, zoos, universities, museums, labs, non-profits, or environmental consulting firms.
