Jobs 2010

The unemployment rate continues to increase with significant layoffs projected for the year. Consumer confidence is in the tank. Retail sales this season were terrible.
Ominous news seems to be everywhere.
So … is give up your only option? Is all hopeless?
Are you going to resign – or harder?
First things first: do not become even more pessimistic what may already be bad news for leaving written reports on projections that do not mean much to unduly influence you.
For example … a now report on the wires included this statement from an economic consultancy firm which shall remain anonymous:
Even with quick action from Washington (in the form of a stimulus), we can not expect a strong rebound "in the work of creation in the short term.
The same article quoted meteorologists are telling the Fed that "the unemployment rate is likely to increase significantly in 2010."
None of these news.
Nor do they indicate that something catastrophic happened suddenly now going to extend the soft labor market exponentially – Despite the tone of the piece would lead one to believe that this is a "last-minute news.
This will be a long and deep recession. You already know that.
Employment is a lagging indicator. Again, not a newsletter. It'll take 12 to 18 months after the economy begins to improve the employment situation of catch and brightness.
Do the math. Of course, the rate of Unemployment will continue to increase in 2010.
This is not a shocking revelation.
The media are looking for to sell news and analysts need something to talk about – there are plenty of beneficial owners to worry about, without these people evoke the "serious warning du jour".
So – the realization that many people have a vested interest in ginning up information that is not new – what do going to do with the fact that times are tough? Are you going to resign, or harden?
In the hope of a brighter day will not do the sun come before.
Amid the austere economic climate and gloomy headlines, there are opportunities. There always are. As bleak as things may Apparently business is not screeching to a complete halt.
True, some companies will fail. Some will limp through the recession, but never be the same.
Others, however, will find ways to adapt. Some recognize and seize the opportunities … and erupt by the other side with the market share gained. Employers step and launch of new businesses.
You, too, can find ways to adapt. You can be marketed yourself. You can find opportunity in chaos.
It is not impossible. Are you ready for the challenge?
