Career School Of Ny
School/Career Path Please help I am really stuck.?
Ok I have definately narrowed down what careers I want, Doctor or Pharmacist. You have no idea how hard it has been for me choosing, since it will impact which college I attend (Applying in less then 1 year!)
Basically I think that Pharmacy is the way to go. The program that I would go into is a 0-6 PharmD program. Also from what I hear/read from BLS pharmacists are in demand and in the NY area their salaries are in the 100k + range. Medicine has always interested me and although the pay is extremely good (Anesthesiology) the thought of 8 years of schooling followed by a 4 year grueling residency sounds too much and I also feel I would be losing the best years of my life, not to mention not being able to really practice until I’m 30. With pharmacy I could be fully graduated/licensed in my Early 20′s with less debt/stress. Do you all think that Pharmacy will provide me with a stable well paying job?
One thing to keep in mind is that pharmacy jobs are flooding with applicants. As more people apply the salary and demand will drop. Also it depends on where you live. 100k in NY is a lot less than 100k in KY
