Career Changers

I am a woman / over 50 and a career changer. Are there jobs that do not require ultrasound heavy lifting?
I love the direct contact with patients, but do not want exhausting work.
I am currently a medical student diagnostic ultrasound and we had to do a physical exam and a sign doctor outside that we are able to lift 50 pounds. So that's the weight lifting should be able to do this job, but nothing like going from a patient or equipment to over 50 pounds should help. The main concern for sonographers are actually musculoskeletal injuries as carpal tunnel, tendinitis, shoulder / back pain caused by repetitive movement of the transducer. So maybe you should consult your doctor for a physical exam and get your opinion if you are unsure about its boundaries. * Side Note: Be sure to find an accredited ultrasound program: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/ Good luck! =)
