My daughter just got “accepted” into the Pacific Modeling & Acting Academy. Is this a scam?
My daughter auditioned yesterday and was called back today. But it turns out that we have to be committed to her career and spending between $2500 and $6000 for further training/development. Does anyone know whether this is legitimate or a scam?
We went to an open audition for the same company, which just so happens to have a John Robert Powers phone number. So I think that this is just another way for them to use another name but still be under the JRP franchise system. From other threads JRP doesn’t have the best reputation so maybe it’s like Amway.
Both of my daughters got accepted to the same school. They wanted us to schedule an appointment tonight and give them $2450 each.
We won’t shell out the money for this.
This is their first look into acting for them, so we will probably just find some local acting classes to get them into and go from there.
